- Expansion of Jaé: new service station is opened at the Jovelina Pérola Negra Arena, in Pavuna
Retired Ailton Ribeiro, 71, praised the speed of service at the new post in Pavuna - Tiago Costa/City Hall The Jaé service network, the city of Rio's new digital ticketing system, continues to expand. This Friday (27/06), a new service point was opened, this time at the Jovelina Pérola Negra Arena, in Pavuna, expanding the system's reach in the city's North Zone.
The municipal secretary of Transport, Maína Celidonio, accompanied the opening of the new post in Pavuna and highlighted the advances in expanding service capacity throughout the week.
– We are ending the week with the inauguration of another gas station, this time in Pavuna. This week, we made a great effort to expand Jaé’s capacity, with the inauguration of four Super Gas Stations. We would like to thank everyone who is adopting the new system. The transition to free gas stations will take place next Saturday, July 5, and for the general public, on August 2. It is important that everyone registers in advance to avoid last-minute lines – highlighted the secretary.
Retired Ailton Ribeiro, 71, praised the speed of service at the new post in Pavuna.
– I managed to get my Jaé card. I was well attended to and it was quick. Very good – he commented.
The city of Rio de Janeiro already has four Super Stations in operation: at the Server Club, in Cidade Nova; at the Engenhão Knowledge Center, located in Praça do Trem; at the Miécimo da Silva Sports Center, in Campo Grande; and at the Deodoro Olympic Village, inaugurated last Thursday (26/06).
The expansion also involves restructuring existing service points. In Campo Grande, the post was transferred to Miécimo da Silva, replacing the previous one on Rua Aurélio de Figueiredo. In Madureira, an exclusive post for free service operates at Shopping São Luiz, while Terminal Paulo da Portela remains an option for the general public.
In the South Zone, service has been transferred to a new, more structured address: Rua Dona Mariana, 48, in Botafogo. All stations are open from Monday to Saturday, from 7 am to 19 pm.
The City Hall emphasizes that people who are entitled to free access can register at any office and leave with a yellow card in hand. The recommendation is that the process be done, preferably, online, with free delivery of the card for those over 65 years old, requested directly through the app.
After registering, the user can use Jaé immediately with the QR Code generated in the app.
