Urban regulation operation fines 30 vehicles in Ipanema this Sunday

Action by the South Zone Subprefecture and Municipal Guard also seized material from an illegal parking attendant and removed a camp in a banking area - Disclosure/South Zone Subprefecture

An urban order operation carried out this Sunday (June 28th) in Ipanema resulted in 30 vehicles being ticketed for illegal parking. The action was coordinated by the South Zone Subprefecture, through the Rio em Ordem program, with the support of the Municipal Guard, and aimed to curb infractions and monitor public space in the region.

During the inspection, officers caught an unlicensed parking attendant illegally using a uniform and a parking ticket book. All the material was seized. The team also removed an illegal encampment that had been set up outside a bank branch in the neighborhood.

The teams operated in sections previously mapped by the agency, identified as having recurring traffic violations and other urban irregularities. The inspection covered the entire length of Barão da Torre and Visconde de Pirajá streets, as well as the area surrounding Nossa Senhora da Paz Square.

"We are directing teams to the locations that concentrate the main demands of the residents. This ongoing work organizes urban spaces and ensures compliance with the rules. The integrated action will continue to be intensified throughout the region," declared Pedro Angelito, sub-mayor of the South Zone.
