- City Hall releases report on the first weekend of exclusive operation in Jaé for free admissions
More than 2,6 million registrations have already been made in Jaé - Conrado Portella/City Hall This weekend, Jaé began operating exclusively for boarding passengers entitled to free public transportation. With the City Hall's new digital ticketing system, it is possible to monitor user boarding in real time, which allows for greater precision in analyzing passenger flow.
625 thousand shipments were registered through Jaé, of which 416 thousand corresponding to free rides. A significant increase compared to the previous weekend, when 439 thousand people boarded municipal transport with Jaé, 255 thousand of which were free rides. The number of elderly people using the Jaé system more than doubled, from 112 thousand to 241 thousand.
The City Hall will continue to monitor data in real time to ensure the system is fully functioning and to provide quality service to beneficiary users.
It is worth remembering that starting August 2, the use of Jaé will be mandatory for all users of municipal transport, including those who use transport vouchers. Employing companies must contact the operator responsible for Jaé as soon as possible to enable the benefit for their employees and guarantee access to the system.
