The Rio de Janeiro City Hall held its second cabinet meeting of 2026 this Sunday (April 12th), the first under the leadership of Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere, who took office last month. The meeting took place in Barra da Tijuca and brought together representatives from secretariats, municipal bodies, autonomous agencies, institutes, and foundations.

The meeting aimed to monitor management goals based on strategic planning. During the meeting, the main ongoing deliverables and projects under development were discussed. Mayor Eduardo Cavaliere emphasized that when the government has direction and planning, the results appear.

– In November 2024, we held a meeting here that was a plan, a concept. And today, with practically a month of the Municipal Force's operation, with many arrests and approaches, already operating in Cinelândia, Rodoviária, Campo de Santana, Presidente Vargas, Central do Brasil, Jardim de Alah, starting today in Campo Grande and continuing to advance. All this because there is planning – stated the mayor.

Cavaliere also highlighted the administration's commitment to efficiency and execution.

"This is a tradition, a management method that works, that is successful. The secretaries here are being held accountable for those programs that are within the goals, that are being monitored for results," he emphasized.
