Luz Maravilha Program advances on streets in the Barra and Recreio neighborhoods, in the West Zone

The Luz Maravilha Program, by Rioluz, continues to advance along the streets of Barra da Tijuca and Recreio dos Bandeirantes, installing LED lighting on the roads and bringing more comfort and safety to drivers and pedestrians. The service began on Ivan Lins and Armando Lombardi Avenues, covered the entire Avenida das Américas (from Barra to Recreio), lit up Estrada do Pontal and Estrada do Joá, is being carried out on the streets of Terreirão, gave the Reserva section a new look and is now being added to smaller roads to meet the demands of the population.

Between July 28 and August 2, the program replaced 265 light bulbs on Estrada da Barra da Tijuca, in Itanhangá, from Barrinha to Tijuquinha, covering an area with heavy traffic of vehicles that use the road as access to other neighborhoods and Alto da Boa Vista.

– The work began with priority given to major roads, and now we are reaching the streets of our region. This is an important work by the Municipal Energy and Lighting Company, Rioluz – says Deputy Mayor Raphael Lima.
