Rio closes May with 1.253 job openings 

At the end of May, Rio had 1.253 job openings, 279 of which were for people with disabilities. This Monday (26/05), the City of Rio released, through the Municipal Secretariat of Labor and Income (SMTE), a list of opportunities in different neighborhoods of the city.

This week, there are ten job openings for those who want to work as a hairdresser or manicurist in Tijuca. No experience is necessary, just a high school diploma. The list also includes 248 opportunities for telemarketing operators; 52 for drivers; 53 for cooks and kitchen assistants; 42 for housekeepers; 40 for bartenders and assistants; 15 for butchers and 5 for tire repairmen, among many other opportunities in different neighborhoods.

For those looking for an internship, there are vacancies for those studying Administration (8); Pedagogy (4); Engineering (4); Accounting (2); Marketing (2); Computer Science (2); Human Resources Management (2); Architecture (1); Tourism (1); Communication (1); Advertising (1); Law (1); Nutrition (1); Electronics Technician (1); Information Technology (1); Chemistry Technician (1).

Important: The Municipal Department of Labor and Income receives the list of vacancies from companies, and they are the ones who define the requirements needed for hiring. According to the vacancy profile, the SMTE applies the necessary filters to select people who meet all the criteria and forwards them to the companies.

There are three types of selection processes: resumes (when the partner company requests the person's resume to analyze, and then make contact with them); link (when the partner company provides the link to the platform on which its vacancy is registered for the person to fill out and apply for the vacancy); and in-person interview (when the partner company schedules a date and time for the in-person interview with the candidate).

People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven Workers' Centers, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2.080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1.400, rooms 247 and 248); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58); and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The centers are open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 16 pm.

Candidates must bring ID, CPF, PIS and resume to register. People with disabilities can send their resume to the email vacaspcd.smte@gmail.com or go to the Care Center for People with Disabilities (CIAD), a reference in the search for and offer of employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the municipality, in the Center (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997).
