Rio Réveillon 2026 celebrates the future and brings unprecedented attractions to the biggest New Year's Eve party in the world.

Number of visitors expected to be 15% higher than in 2024 - Marco Terranova/Riotur The New Year's Eve celebration in Rio de Janeiro will exalt the city's essence: partying. With 13 stages spread across different regions, the event consolidates itself as the biggest music festival in the country. Big names in Brazilian music will be part of the program.
In Copacabana, on the Rio stage (in front of the Copacabana Palace), Gilberto Gil and Ney Matogrosso will be present as special guests; Belo and Alcione; João Gomes, who will be joined by singer Iza for a special appearance, and Alok – DJ Cady will open the night and the closing act will be by GRES Beija Flor; and on the Amstel Samba stage (near República do Peru street), there will be shows with Roberta Sá, Mart'nália, Diogo Nogueira and Feyjão with Bloco da Preta – the opening act will be DJ Tamy and the closing act will be GRES Grande Rio. In Leme (dedicated to gospel music), in addition to DJ Marcelo Araújo, Midiam Lima, Samuel Messias, Thales Roberto and Grupo Marcados will take the stage.
At Flamengo Beach, there will be performances by Joanna, Moacyr Luz, and Samba do Trabalhador, as well as a tribute to Raul Seixas. At Ramos Beach, Ana Peticov, MC Cacau, and Balacobaco will perform, and at Sepetiba Beach, Tília, Juninho Thybau, and Caju pra baixo will take the stage. At Madureira Park, shows with Sombrinha and DJ Michell + Black de Elite will be featured, and at Penha Park, Dudu Nobre, Thaís Macedo, and Pura Batucada will liven up the party. Oeste Park (Inhoaíba) will host Leandro Sapucahy, Batuke 021, Fróes, and Pagodelas. On Ilha do Governador, Arlindinho and Santa Rita will headline the New Year's Eve celebrations. In Pedra de Guaratiba, the attractions are MC Bob Rum and Délcio Luz, and in Paquetá, Ryon, Afromix, and Marcos Santos will perform. At Parque de Realengo, DJ Rafael Nazareth kicks things off, and the night continues with Nem da Tia Doca and Sambay.
According to the president of Riotur, Bernardo Fellows, Rio Réveillon 2026 marks a new moment for the city.
– Rio's New Year's Eve celebration is one of the biggest in the world, and this year, once again, we've prepared a program worthy of this iconic city event. There will be 13 stages spread across various points in the city. We will bring together renowned artists who represent the diversity and energy of our music. We are prepared to welcome up to five million people, which was last year's audience, in the different celebration locations. Regardless of the number, the most important thing is that we celebrate the arrival of 2026 with joy and safety. Rio is reaffirming its place as the world capital of New Year's Eve celebrations.
The event is being organized by SRCOM, which is producing the New Year's Eve celebration for the 18th year, under the direction of partners Sheila Roza, Abel Gomes, Paulo César Ferreira, and Nelson Adão.
The 2026 edition will bring remarkable innovations, such as 19 barges along the coastline, in a unique project that will illuminate the Copacabana sky with the largest pyrotechnic spectacle ever held in Rio. A special and exciting soundtrack is being created to accompany the fireworks show. The public will also see new visual dimensions, with more technology, original designs, and a drone show symbolizing the arrival of the future.
– We will have even more dynamism and a grand luminous ballet, inaugurating the future with light flights in an unforgettable and unprecedented spectacle in homage to Rio de Janeiro with 1200 drones. It's going to be incredible! – highlights Abel Gomes, vice-president of creation at SRCOM.
Another highlight is the commitment to sustainability, which transforms Rio Réveillon 2026 into an ESG-focused event, with responsible practices for a better future.
– Rio New Year's Eve 2026 will have the spirit of the Carioca (Rio de Janeiro native) who knows very well how to party! With safety and well-being for all, we will have a party with a sustainable and socially responsible approach, which includes waste management, carbon offsetting, environmental education initiatives, inclusion and accessibility with Libras (Brazilian Sign Language), accessible spaces and restrooms for people with disabilities, priority for set design with less waste impact, and engagement with the surrounding community – says Nelson Adão, partner and director of projects and new business at SRCOM. – The city will transform into a great stage for entertainment, inviting sponsors to join us in the mission of making Rio de Janeiro a destination for celebration, joy, and culture this end-of-year season – he adds.
