Seop and Municipal Guard set up operational scheme for Solidarity Football at Maracanã

Municipal guards work around Maracanã - Robert Gomes / GM-Rio The Municipal Department of Public Order (Seop) and the Rio Municipal Guard (GM-Rio) will work with 145 agents in the urban planning operation for the Futebol Solidário event, this Sunday (26/5), starting at 16 pm, at Maracanã. The event, which brings together sports figures and celebrities, aims to raise funds to help victims of the floods in Rio Grande do Sul.
Operational actions will begin at 11 am, focusing on urban and traffic management on the main access roads to the stadium, such as Maracanã, Professor Manoel de Abreu and Rei Pelé avenues, and Professor Eurico Rabelo and São Francisco Xavier streets. In addition to municipal guards from units in the region, the operation will be supported by special Canine, Mobile Tactical and Special Operations groups.
There will be no parking areas in the area. Therefore, fans are advised to use public transport to get to the stadium, which has train and metro stations (Maracanã and São Cristóvão) nearby, as well as several bus lines.
