Carioca em Dia: PGM sends notice to more than 120 thousand taxpayers who can join the program

The Rio de Janeiro City Attorney General's Office (PGM) is sending, this Tuesday (20/5), a notice to more than 120 thousand taxpayers in the city with debts registered as active debt and who can benefit from the discounts offered by the Carioca em Dia 2025 program.

The text, sent by email to individuals and legal entities, indicates the number of the Active Debt Certificate (CDA), a document that attests to the existence of the debt, and also provides information on the possibility of obtaining benefits through joining the program.

Carioca em Dia offers discounts on the payment of IPTU, ITBI and tax debts, as well as various fines such as those for environmental and urban planning regulations, for example, as long as they are already registered as active debt and the debt amounts do not exceed R$10 each.

Reductions can reach 100% of fines and late payment charges. The program is also valid for ISS debts of any amount, whether or not registered as active debt with a taxable event occurring up to December 31, 2024.

Taxpayers have until June 30 to join the program and secure discounts. The procedure must be carried out at Carioca em Dia website.
