Rio Municipal Prosecutor's Office announces final result of Forensic Internship

The Attorney General's Office of the Municipality of Rio de Janeiro released, in the Official Gazette on Monday (22/03), the final result of the 40th special selection process to fill vacancies in the Forensic Internship program. The publication also brings the result of the appeals made by the candidates.

More than 1200 students currently in their seventh, eighth or ninth year of Law applied for the selection process, but only 500 had their applications validated.

– The entire procedure was conducted by the House's Study Center and the expectation is that we can call these students as soon as possible – adds the Attorney General, Daniel Bucar, who is also a professor and specialist in Civil Law.

Due to the Covid-19 pandemic and the impossibility of carrying out in-person exams, the admission criteria for interns were adjusted and the procedures required to complete the competition became even more efficient.

– The pandemic has led us to discover new solutions and assessment methods, and workflows have been rethought and redesigned. In this edition, we consider the students’ Accumulated Performance Coefficient (CRa), the grade given to the institution by the National Institute of Studies and Research Anísio Teixeira (INEP) and the “OAB Recommends” seal – explains the attorney and director of the Study Center, Rafael Oliveira.

The entire procedure for completing the competition and publishing the final result took less than two months, just 50 days.

– Comparatively, taking into account the obvious differences in the selection format between the current selection process and previous ones, the 36th selection process was completed in 114 days; the 37th, in 145 days; and the 38th, in 162 days – concludes the director of the Study Center.

The list with the final results of the competition is available on the website of the Municipal Attorney General's Office. Those approved in the 40th edition of the Forensic Internship competition will be called in due time through publication in the Municipal Official Gazette.
