This is the third course held this year by PGM - Fabio Motta/City of Rio IPTU, ISS and ITBI taxpayers who want to learn a little more about municipal taxes already have a date and time scheduled for a free class on taxes. The Rio de Janeiro City Attorney General's Office (PGM) will start another course in the institution's Legal Residency Program this Wednesday (October 06), a project of the PGM's Center for Studies and School of State Policies. Entitled “Current Topics in Municipal Taxation,” the course consists of 10 classes and will feature the participation of Attorneys from the City and State of Rio de Janeiro, as well as academics.
– This topic is always important. We want to bring the current debates that have been taking place on municipal taxation to the classroom. Understanding a little more about the topic is relevant not only for legal residents of the house, but also for those who have tax responsibilities – says Attorney General Daniel Bucar.
With the exception of the inaugural class, which will take place this Wednesday at 17:XNUMX p.m., the remaining classes in the tax course will be held weekly, always on Thursdays, at the same time. Residents must watch the classes via a specific platform; the general public will be able to follow the debates live on the internet.
The attorney and director of the Study Center, Rafael Oliveira, general coordinator of the project, comments on the subjects to be discussed in the PGM course, which runs until December.
– In one of the classes, it will be possible to learn, for example, about the concepts of services in the ISS, in addition to the jurisprudential evolution in the STF. The speakers will also talk about the tax war between municipalities – a very current topic – tax and public price, in addition to addressing the Tax Reform in the Municipality of Rio, among other equally relevant subjects – explains Oliveira.
Those interested in the course can follow the lectures on PGM channel. The records will be archived on that platform and can be accessed at any time.
This is the third course of the year held by the PGM Study Center, which has already completed two others on the topics “New Bidding Law” and the “New Legal Framework for Basic Sanitation”, all of which are also available on the PGM channel.
