The Rio de Janeiro City Attorney's Office is making available, this Wednesday (6/11), a platform that brings together properties located in the city and that are available for auction. The real estate units were seized as collateral for the payment of tax executions, resulting from IPTU debts.
In total, 16.000 properties make up the list of real estate units that can be put up for auction. In addition to the addresses of the properties, the website also provides a municipal estimate of the sale value, which, in the event of a second auction, may be reduced to 50% of the initially estimated value.
Property searches on the website can be done by neighborhood or by minimum and maximum estimated sale values. Taxpayers can also express interest in properties on the platform, a procedure that will be considered by the City Attorney's Office for the purpose of prioritizing units for auction.
Payment methods for owners
Owners of listed real estate units have the option of generating payment slips on the website for the payment of the debt in full and thus avoiding the listing for auction and the consequent loss of the property. In these cases, there is also the unique option of conditional payment of the debt, which can also be requested on the platform, in up to 84 equal installments, without, however, the possibility of eventual re-payment of the debt by the owner.
