Deadline to join the Carioca em Dia Program ends

The Carioca em Dia Program ends this Friday (11/8), offering discounts on the payment of tax debts (IPTU, ISS, ITBI and fees) and non-tax debts (fines for regulations, environmental fines, applied by Procon Carioca, among others) registered in active debt and with a generating fact occurred until 31/12/22. Discounts vary between 10% and 100% of fines and late payment charges. The percentages are applied according to the number of payment installments chosen by the taxpayer.

Membership can be done through Carioca Digital website or at one of the active debt service points. The system simulates the amounts to be paid with a discount. It is important to note that membership only occurs after the payment slip has been issued and payment has been made – on the due date – in full or, in the case of installments, the payment slip for the first installment.

In addition to regularizing debts with discounts, Carioca em Dia is also an opportunity for taxpayers to anticipate collection measures that are common with debts registered as active debt, such as protests, online blocking of bank accounts and auctions. In the case of IPTU debts, for example, by joining Carioca em Dia, the debtor can avoid having their property auctioned.
