Debt negotiation drive begins this Monday

Renegocia!, a debt negotiation campaign carried out by Procon Carioca, in partnership with the Ministry of Justice and Public Security (MJSP) and the National Consumer Secretariat (SENACON), begins this Monday (16/12). Until January 17, 2025, consumers will be able to negotiate debts with financial institutions, telephone companies, public service providers (water, electricity and gas), retail companies, e-commerce, among other sectors.

– The main objective is to combat over-indebtedness and offer Rio residents a financial fresh start. It is an important step towards the economic stability of many families who will be able to find more favorable and advantageous conditions that will allow them to start 2025 with balanced finances – explained Renata Ruback, executive director of Procon Carioca.

Debt negotiations can be done directly with Procon Carioca, either through portal and through its service channels.

To participate, simply present your personal document, debt contracts or any document that proves the debt, such as invoices, proof of payment for purchases or contracting of services, among others.
