Coronavirus: City Hall carries out operation at the Acari Fair, in the North Zone

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the municipal departments of Public Order (SEOP) and Finance, carried out an action on Sunday, August 30, to curb irregularities and prevent crowds at the Acari Fair, in the North Zone. In total, 08 unauthorized street vendors were instructed to leave and 230 trays (structures for displaying merchandise) that were allegedly set up illegally at the fair were dismantled. Approximately 300 kilos of waste were also collected. Five vehicles were removed for illegal parking, with two being towed.

The task force coordinated by Seop included 40 professionals from the Subsecretariat of Operations and Coordination of Parking and Towing Inspection (Cfer) of the department, Municipal Guard, Urban Control Coordination (CCU, of the Municipal Finance Department), and the 9th Military Police Battalion (Rocha Miranda).
