The interior and exterior areas of the complex have been completely restored - Press Release

The Rio de Janeiro City Hall has completed the revitalization works of the Nova Geração Housing Complex, in the Nova Brasília community, in the Complexo do Alemão. The internal and external areas of the complex were completely renovated, directly benefiting residents and improving the quality of communal spaces. With an investment of R$ 2,8 million, the interventions are part of the Conjunto Maravilha program.

The services included painting the facades and walls, punctual repairs to the plasterwork, and roof renovations, ensuring greater durability and protection for the buildings. The common area also underwent significant improvements, with the revitalization of the playground, the renovation of the soccer field, and the construction of new bleachers, creating a safer and more suitable environment for sports and leisure activities. The installation and restoration of street furniture reinforced the organization of collective spaces, while the installation of a Senior Citizens' Fitness Center expanded the options for physical activities aimed at the elderly population.

The project also included a complete renovation of the changing rooms and the party hall, increasing the comfort of residents during social gatherings and events. The construction of a retaining wall provided greater structural safety to the complex, and the restoration of the internal sidewalks ensured better accessibility and circulation.

Maravilha Joint Program

Conjunto Maravilha is an initiative of the Rio de Janeiro City Hall and the Municipal Urbanization Company (Rio-Urbe) aimed at the recovery and modernization of low-income housing complexes in different regions of the city. Since its resumption in 2021, the program has expanded its care for these spaces, ensuring structural interventions and improvements in community environments. In 2025, 11 housing complexes were reopened after renovations in the North and West zones.
