Municipal Health Department updates number of beds for Covid-19 and occupancy rate in the capital's SUS network
The City of Rio, through the Municipal Health Department, informs that the municipal network is currently carrying out the absolute majority of Covid-19 care, since state and private hospitals have closed beds dedicated to treating the disease.
It is also important to highlight that the City of Rio is the only one that maintains a field hospital – the one at Riocentro – in operation, since units from other spheres did not even reach full operation – and that, recently, private partnerships with the government of the State of Rio demobilized field hospitals.

Routine closure of the Vice President José de Alencar Tunnel
The City of Rio, through CET Rio, will execute tomorrow, November 03rd, Tuesday, the routine total closure of the Vice Presidente José de Alencar Tunnel, towards Santa Cruz, from 11 pm to 23 am.
The closure aims to enable maintenance and conservation services for the drainage galleries and cleaning of the Tunnel walls.

Rio City Hall promoted this Monday (02/11) more special hygiene operations in communities in the city
Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through Comlurb, carried out more special sanitation operations this Monday (02/11) in several communities in the city. The initiative, which began in Rocinha on 9/4 and aims to reduce the risk of contamination by the new coronavirus, has already been extended to all 633 communities in the city. The cleaning is done with recycled water and neutral detergent, and hypochlorite in the sprayers.

Environmental patrol seizes 15 birds kept in captivity in the West Zone
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Municipal Guard and the Municipal Department of the Environment, rescued 1 wild birds held in captivity and hunting traps in a residence in the Guaratiba neighborhood, in the West Zone of Rio, on Sunday, the 15st. The birds were taken to the Chico Mendes Municipal Natural Park, where they will be evaluated by environmental technicians and returned to the wild.
