Course “Multidisciplinary care for people with cleft lip and palate”

With 13 modules, the course will feature educational technological resources such as video classes, didactic texts and audios
In partnership with the Hospital Municipal Nossa Senhora do Loreto (HMNSLoreto), the Federal University of Rio de Janeiro (UFRJ) is offering an extension/refresher course called “Multidisciplinary care for people with cleft lip and palate”. Aimed at healthcare professionals, undergraduate and graduate students, administrative technicians and managers, the course is free and offered in the distance learning format.
The total course load will be 115 hours divided into 13 modules, taught by professors from UFRJ and professionals from the Cleft Lip and Palate Treatment Center at HMNSLoreto. Several issues will be addressed, from the occurrence of the cleft in the embryonic phase and prenatal diagnosis, to the first care of the patient with cleft lip and palate and assistance in care. It is, therefore, also recommended for professionals who work in Primary Care and maternity wards.
