On Tuesday, the public invited will be men aged 39, and there will be a second chance for people with permanent disabilities. Actor Fábio Enriquez was one of the first people to be vaccinated at the cultural space.
– It is very symbolic to be getting vaccinated here, at the Carlos Gomes Theater, which is a temple, a place where I have performed so many times with my company Barca dos Corações Partidos. It is a symbol of health and art walking together. Only in this way will we give a better world to the new generations that are coming – he said.

The actor recalled that he has already performed at Carlos Gomes with shows such as “Auê”, “Gonzagão, a Lenda” and “Ópera do Malandro”. He made an appeal for people to complete the immunization.
– Please get your second dose of the vaccine. It is a privilege to be vaccinated when more than 500 people have died in Brazil due to this pandemic. It is our responsibility to make this country and the world a better place to live.
Businessman Fabiano França said he was very anxiously awaiting the arrival of the day to receive the first dose of the vaccine.
– This is an important step in history, it is the biggest pandemic we are experiencing. None of us imagined what it would be like or how we would get out of this. Now we must not relax, keep wearing a mask if possible, wash our hands and stay home if we can – he said.

In addition to the PV at the Carlos Gomes Theater, the partnership between the City of Rio and the NGO Core (Community Organized Relief Effort) has already promoted the opening of four other macro vaccination centers throughout the city: Parque Olímpico, the Mocidade and Portela courts, and the Miécimo da Silva Sports Center. Founded by American actor Sean Penn, the NGO Core is a humanitarian initiative that operates in different countries and, during the pandemic, has helped to expand access to vaccination.
The institution's investments in the city of Rio to combat Covid-19, in support of the SUS, are focused on setting up vaccination and testing centers and hiring professionals. All equipment acquired through the initiative will be donated to the municipal health network after the partnership ends.
