The PV is located in the Paineiras Visitor Center - Edu Kapps/SMS The Municipal Health Department (SMS) is conducting vaccinations against influenza, measles, and yellow fever this Wednesday (July 8th) and Thursday (July 9th) at the Paineiras Visitor Center, on Corcovado Mountain. The vaccination point (PV) operates from 9 am to 3 pm on both days of the week.
The Corcovado vaccination point is part of the SMS (Municipal Health Secretariat) strategy to bring immunization to locations with high pedestrian traffic. During the event, in addition to administering doses, health teams will advise visitors on the importance of completing their vaccination schedule and answer questions about immunization. To get vaccinated, those interested must present an identification document and, if possible, their vaccination card.
In the city of Rio de Janeiro, the flu vaccine is available to everyone from six months of age. Adolescents and adults up to 59 years old who are not vaccinated against measles can be vaccinated, or those up to 29 years old who have received only one dose can complete their vaccination schedule with a second dose. The yellow fever vaccine is routinely recommended from 9 months of age and can be administered up to 59 years old.
