Sports go hand in hand with health, and anyone who is going to compete in or watch the Rio Marathon festival this Saturday (10/06) will be able to run to the Municipal Health Department (SMS) clinic at Marina da Glória to get vaccinated against the flu and COVID-19. The facility will be open from 8 am to 16 pm, and doses will be available to people aged 18 and over. An extra reward for those who take care of their health and don't want to get sick.
The vaccination point set up at Marina da Glória during the Rio Marathon is part of the SMS strategy to bring immunization to places with large concentrations of people. The space will have 10 vaccinators and 10 scribes to provide care at the pace of the race. To receive the dose, all you need to do is present an identity document and, if you have one, your vaccination card.
Vaccines remain available at the city's 237 Primary Care units, from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 17 pm, and at the Super Carioca Vaccination Center, from Sunday to Sunday, from 8 am to 22 pm.
Children aged six months and over and adolescents up to 17 years old must take the flu vaccine, which in this age group is only administered in health units.
