Photo: Disclosure/City Hall Image Center The City of Rio, through the Municipal Health Department, informs that the municipal network has 881 beds for Covid-19. Of this total, 251 are ICU beds. The number of specialized beds in the network is greater than the demand for hospitalizations for treatment of the disease.
The occupancy rate of ICU beds for Covid-19 in the SUS network – which includes beds in municipal, state and federal units – in the municipality is 68%. The occupancy rate in hospital beds is 46%.
There are 468 hospitalized patients in the municipal network units. Of this total, 204 are in ICUs.
The SUS network in the capital has 808 people hospitalized in specialized beds, 407 of which are in ICU beds.
There is no waiting list, as there are beds for all patients included in the regulation system.
Throughout the SUS network of Metropolitan Region 1 – which encompasses the capital and municipalities of Baixada Fluminense – 30 people are in the process of being transferred to Covid-19 beds. Of this total, 17 are for ICU.
