The grade quota defines the level of developments for the good drainage of rainwater - Disclosure

Licensing projects and developments in Rio has become even easier. IplanRio, an agency linked to the Municipal Secretariat for Digital Transformation and Public Integrity (SMTDI), and the Rio-Águas Foundation have developed a new electronic service for requesting a Declaration of Grade Quota online. From now on, the process to request the document will be done digitally, without the need to present documents in person. This new feature makes licensing projects and developments in the city more agile. The declaration of grade quota is important for defining the level at which developments must be built to ensure the drainage of rainwater.

The service is part of a series of actions that have been developed by the Rio-Águas Foundation and SMTDI. The goal of the partnership is to make several of the Foundation's services digital, and the registration of professionals to present projects and the declaration of possibility of rainwater drainage are now available online.

The Municipal Secretariat for Digital Transformation and Public Integrity is the coordinator of the process, which involved the participation of teams from Process.Rio, a system that has been promoting the digitization of municipal documents and, since 2021, has already digitized more than 2 million documents, resulting in savings of around R$ 12 million and an impact of 56,8 tons of unprinted paper.

Electronic Petitioning is a module implemented in Process.Rio where, by means of the Carioca Digital, citizens will be able to make requests to the City Hall online. This is the city of Rio taking the future off paper.
