Capital has 1.069 job openings, 35 of which are for domestic workers

Rio has 1.069 job openings. This Monday (24/3), the City of Rio, through the Municipal Department of Labor and Income (SMTE), released a list of opportunities in different neighborhoods of the city. There are 50 job openings for people with disabilities. This week, there are 127 opportunities for those who want to work as stockers. And 35 openings for domestic workers, with salaries ranging from R$1.550 to R$3.500. In this case, it is necessary to have completed elementary school and six months of experience.

The list also includes 40 vacancies for drivers; 31 for cafeteria attendants; 20 for housekeeping; 17 for nannies; 8 for parking traffic advisors; 3 for occupational physicians, among many others.

For those looking for an internship, there are vacancies for those studying Administration (8); Letters/Portuguese/English (5); Pedagogy (4); Engineering (4); Marketing (2); Computer Science (2); Accounting (2); Human Resources Management (2); Occupational Safety Technician (2); Architecture (1); Tourism (1); Communication (1); Advertising (1); Law (1); Nutrition (1); Chemistry Technician (1); Electronics Technician (1) and Information Technology (1).

– The job market is changing and bringing us new challenges. That’s why it’s so important to stay qualified. The department is already offering some workshops and forming partnerships to provide new professional training courses to workers – stated the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Manoel Vieira.

Important: The Municipal Department of Labor and Income receives the list of vacancies from companies and they define the requirements for hiring. According to the vacancy profile, the SMTE applies the necessary filters to select people who meet all the criteria and forwards them to the companies.

There are three types of selection processes: resumes (when the partner company requests the person's resume to analyze, and then make contact with them); link (when the partner company provides the link to the platform on which its vacancy is registered for the person to fill out and apply for the vacancy); and in-person interview (when the partner company schedules a date and time for the in-person interview with the candidate).

People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven Workers' Centers, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2.080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1.400, rooms 247 and 248); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58); and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The centers are open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 16 pm.

Candidates must bring their ID, CPF, PIS and resume to register. People with disabilities can send their resume to the email vagaspcd.smte@gmail.com or go to the Center for Care for People with Disabilities (CIAD), a reference in the search and offer of employment opportunities for people with disabilities in the city, in the Center (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997).
