The Municipal Department of Labor and Income (SMTE) will be holding, on Friday (July 18th), in partnership with Help Doméstica, the first in a series of free courses for those who want to work as a nanny. Registration for the Nanny Training workshop, which will be held from 7 am to 9 pm, is now open in the Help Doméstica Instagram bio (@helpdomestica).

Divided into two four-module classes, the course covers, among other things, nutrition, bathing, breastfeeding, and first aid. To participate, you must be at least 18 years old, but no experience is necessary. What's more, those who complete all four modules and achieve a minimum score of 7 on the final assessment will receive a Help Doméstica resume and will be recommended for job openings, even without prior experience.

"Training linked to entrepreneurship has been crucial to expanding opportunities for those seeking advancement in the job market. The partnership with Help Doméstica, which has extensive experience in training in this area, is linked to Empreenda Rio and the formalization of new MEIs. We are confident that it will formalize a skilled workforce to boost Rio's economy," noted Manoel Vieira, Municipal Secretary of Labor and Income.

Students will have access to online learning materials and participate in a WhatsApp group. Upon completion of the course, they will receive a certificate of participation. The first class will be held at the Palacete Princesa Isabel, located at Rua das Palmeiras Imperiais, no number, in Santa Cruz.

"The course will debut in Santa Cruz and then move on to Barra da Tijuca, Ilha do Governador, and Jacarepaguá. Help Doméstica has been offering this training for eight years, and we've successfully placed many of our students in families' homes in various neighborhoods in Rio," said the company's director, Marcos Bernardes.
