The month of January continues to offer job opportunities for various candidate profiles in the city of Rio de Janeiro.

Of these vacancies, 1.604 are for the general public and 102 for people with disabilities - Press Release The third week of January begins with 1.706 job openings in the city, according to the Municipal Department of Labor and Income (SMTE). Of these vacancies, 1.604 are for the general public and 102 for people with disabilities. There are also positions available for interns.
Of the vacancies open to the general public, highlights include 106 for domestic workers, 65 for truck drivers, and 51 for nannies, among other opportunities. For those entering the job market for the first time, 150 vacancies are offered for each of the following positions: butcher's assistant, stock clerk, and cleaning assistant. For candidates with disabilities, there are 64 vacancies for store clerks, five for call center operators, and three for warehouse clerks, as well as several other opportunities available. There are also 16 internship positions open for gastronomy students, eight for administration students, and four for engineering students.
The job market is starting the year strong in the city, as explained by the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Manoel Vieira:
– The month of January continues with numerous job opportunities for those with experience, for those who want to enter the job market, and for candidates with disabilities. There are countless options for people who wish to start 2026 with new professional prospects, through better positioning in the market, or for those who intend to begin their professional careers. In all cases, the population can count on SMTE, whether in directing them to the most suitable job or in professional development, attending the courses offered free of charge by the Rio de Janeiro City Hall.

Resumes can be submitted at one of the seven Worker Centers, located at the following addresses: Centro – Av.
