– The number of job openings in Rio in January increased by 70% compared to the same month in 2024. It is also important to remember that the city ranked second in job creation last year, but the state ranked fifth in unemployment. In other words, while the country and the city continue to surprisingly reduce unemployment, the state has difficulty generating opportunities for the population of Rio de Janeiro – points out the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Manoel Vieira.
To participate in Trabalha Rio, in addition to an ID and CPF, those interested in registering in the SMTE job bank must bring their work card, PIS and resume to the service locations. Those who cannot attend the itinerant actions can register in the SMTE job bank online, at the link: https://tr.ee/L30k1tDGoz.
People without access to the network can also register in person at one of the seven locations of the Workers' Central, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2.080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1.400, rooms 248 and 268); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58) and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The locations are open from Monday to Friday, from 8 am to 16 pm.
