Trabalha Rio, a program that acts as an intermediary between workers seeking employment and companies that are partners of the City of Rio, will be at the Estácio Employability Fair next Monday (3/6), at Madureira Shopping, on Estrada do Portela, 222. The services, from 19pm to 21pm, are subject to the distribution of a password, and workers must present, in addition to their work card, an identity document, CPF, PIS and resume.

On Tuesday (4/6), Mangueira will host a Trabalha Rio event specifically aimed at beneficiaries of the Prato Feito Carioca program, which distributes at least 280 free meals daily to residents facing food insecurity. The team will be on hand at Rua Vigário Morato, 92, from 10 am to 13 pm, registering resumes for those who want to apply for job openings at partner companies of the Municipal Department of Labor and Income (SMTE). On Thursday (6/6), from 10 am to 15 pm, it will be the Colégio neighborhood's turn to host Trabalha Rio, at Rua Jurucê, 18. And on Friday (7/6), the program will be on hand from 13 pm to 17 pm at Rua da Carioca, 45, Centro, serving the LGBTQIA+ community.

– Our goal is to go where the workers are, making life easier for those who want to enter the job market or get a new job. We take the program mainly to the most vulnerable neighborhoods. In other words, our priority is to serve those who have the most difficulty getting around the city – explained the municipal secretary of Labor and Income, Everton Gomes.

Those who cannot attend Trabalha Rio's itinerant actions can also register in the SMTE opportunity bank at Internet. People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven locations of the Workers' Central, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2.080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1.400, rooms 248 and 268, at a new address); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58) and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The locations are open from 8 am to 16 pm.
