This week, the Rio Municipal Department of Labor and Income is holding traveling Trabalha Rio events in the North, West and Center zones. The program, which acts as an intermediary between workers seeking employment and companies that are partners of the Rio City Hall, will begin the week on Tuesday (18/6) at the new Susana Naspolini Park (Rua Pedro Gomes, 7), in Realengo, in the West Zone. Registration for those interested in job openings will take place from 10 am to 15 pm.

On Thursday (20/6), it will be Madureira's turn, with action at Grau Técnico (Rua Maria de Freitas, 72, the popular Rua das Óticas), also from 10 am to 15 pm. On Friday (21/6), the caravan will have its structure set up at the headquarters of Grupo Arco-Íris (Rua da Carioca, 45), in downtown Rio, for the already traditional actions of inclusion of the LGBTQIA+ population in the job market.

At the end of the week, on Saturday (22/6), Ilha do Governador will receive, at Rua Âncora, nº 4, the Trabalha Rio caravan, from 10 am to 17 pm, at the Brazilian Bar Association section, located in Cocotá. On that day, the INSS will also be present at the event, which will assist workers who want to apply for retirement or ask questions.

– One of Trabalha Rio’s distinguishing features is its reach. Taking into account the most densely populated neighborhoods, with greater commuting difficulties and more worrying socioeconomic indicators, we bring employment closer to those who need it. The best social policy is formal employment, with the protections of Social Security and the CLT – said the Secretary of Labor and Income, Everton Gomes.

Those who cannot attend Trabalha Rio's itinerant actions can also register in the SMTE opportunity bank at Internet.

People without internet access can register in person at one of the seven locations of the Workers' Central, at the following addresses: Centro (Av. Presidente Vargas, 1.997, at CIAD); Campo Grande (Rua Coxilha, s/nº); Engenho Novo (Rua Vinte Quatro de Maio, 931); Ilha do Governador (Estrada do Dendê, 2.080); Jacarepaguá (Av. Geremário Dantas, 1.400, rooms 248 and 268, at a new address); Santa Cruz (Rua Lopes de Moura, 58) and Tijuca (Rua Camaragibe, 25). The locations are open from 8 am to 16 pm.
