Jaé registered, this Tuesday (5/8), the highest volume of trips since the beginning of the exclusive operation: 2,6 million boardings in a single day. In the first two business days (4 and 5/8), the use of the transport voucher also soared, totaling 1,609 million uses against 292 thousand in the same period of the previous week, an increase of 451,3%.

On Monday (4/8), there were 774 thousand transport voucher validations, an increase of 475,4% compared to July 28. On Tuesday (5/8), the total reached 835,1 thousand, an increase of 430,2% compared to the previous Tuesday.

Overall boarding performance also showed significant improvement. On Monday, the system recorded 2,4 million trips, compared to 976,5 on the same day last week, representing a 145,8% increase. On Tuesday, daily volume surpassed the two and a half million mark, a 160% increase over the previous Tuesday. Over the two days, there were 5 million boardings, compared to 1,97 million last week—a 153% increase.

MetrôRio registered 81,6 thousand boardings with Jaé, on Monday and Tuesday.

The City continues to monitor data in real time to make necessary adjustments, ensure the system's full functionality, and ensure quality service to the public. Those who haven't yet registered can do so through the Jaé app or at one of the 18 in-person service centers throughout the city.

Passenger facilities

– Seniors aged 65 or over can board normally by presenting a photo ID, even without the card
– Through the Jaé app, passengers can start using the system immediately via QR Code
– The home delivery fee for the card (R$ 7,95) is waived for people aged 65 or over.

Monday to Saturday, from 7am to 19pm (except the CASS post, which is open from Monday to Friday, from 9am to 17pm).
