Rio City Hall closes four events by the task force that monitors crowds and other irregularities, between Saturday and Sunday
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the Municipal Department of Public Order (Seop), prevented, on the afternoon of this Sunday, the 30th, a rave that had been taking place since early morning at the Espaço Verde Vila Festas e Eventos site, on Ilha de Guaratiba, in the West Zone. The action, jointly with the Military Police, removed around 150 people who were at the location. This was the third event shut down by City Hall agents, between Saturday night and this Sunday. Since Thursday (27), when nighttime actions against crowds were initiated by Seop, 26 establishments have been inspected, including bars, nightclubs and party venues, which also recorded 18 fines for various irregularities, including sanitary, tax and pandemic regulations.
Closures – In the early hours of Saturday, two other establishments – Espaço Vá Lounge (Estrada da Barra da Tijuca, 3.866) and Bar São Bão (Estrada de Jacarepaguá, 6.495), in Anil – were closed by agents from Seop and the Municipal Finance Department because they did not have authorization to operate. Early in the evening, the “O pai tá on” party – scheduled to take place in a space with a soccer field and swimming pool at 488 Rua Lopes da Cruz – was shut down by City Hall teams and fined by technicians from the Health Surveillance Department.

Municipal Health Department updates number of beds for Covid-19 and occupancy rate in the capital's SUS network
The Rio City Hall, through the Municipal Health Department, reports that the municipal network has 881 beds for Covid-19. Of this total, 251 are ICU beds. The number of specialized beds in the network is greater than the demand for hospitalizations for treatment of the disease.
The occupancy rate of ICU beds for Covid-19 in the SUS network – which includes beds in municipal, state and federal units – in the municipality is 70%. The occupancy rate in ward beds is 51%.

Coronavirus: City Hall carries out operation at the Acari Fair, in the North Zone
The Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through the municipal departments of Public Order (SEOP) and Finance, carried out an action on Sunday, August 30, to curb irregularities and prevent crowds at the Acari Fair, in the North Zone. In total, 08 unauthorized street vendors were instructed to leave and 230 trays (structures for displaying merchandise) that were allegedly set up illegally at the fair were dismantled. Approximately 300 kilos of waste were also collected. Five vehicles were removed for illegal parking, with two being towed.

Rio de Janeiro City Hall, through Comlurb, carried out more special sanitation operations this Sunday (October 30) in several communities in the city. The initiative, which began in Rocinha on April 08 and aims to reduce the risk of contamination by the new coronavirus, has already been extended to all 9 communities in the city. The cleaning is done with recycled water and neutral detergent, and hypochlorite in the sprayers.
This Sunday, in the area of Greater Tijuca and the Central Region, the service was carried out in the following communities: Morro da Providência, in Gamboa, and Tijuaçu, in Tijuca. The staff consisted of six street cleaners, with the support of two water tankers.
