Health Surveillance offers microchipping and rabies vaccination for animals

The Municipal Institute of Health Surveillance, Zoonosis Surveillance and Agricultural Inspection (IVISA-Rio) will offer microchipping for general animal registration and anti-rabies vaccination at various locations in the city of Rio during the month of June. The campaign begins this Saturday (10/06), in Bangu. The estimate is to serve one thousand animals per day.

The IVISA-Rio vehicle will pass through eight neighborhoods in the West and North zones, offering services from 9 am to 13 pm. Dogs and cats will be able to receive chip identification and rabies vaccinations. The device implanted in the animals is the size of a grain of rice and meets the international standards ISO 11784 and ISO 11785.
